NEW video presentation from Eric Barger!
| IN THIS VIDEO
Todays Christian world is a maze of Church growth ideas,
seeker sensitiveness and new ways to do church. But are these
highly touted techniques really Gods way or a shallow attempt to just attract a
crowd? Using an apologetic approach Eric Barger brings us back to the Biblical model to
build a church and win souls and reveals what The Purpose Driven Life didnt
tell you. Eric Barger writes: One can build a huge church today and program God right out of the building. The goal of pastors should never be sheer numbers. Our successes should be judged on if we are making real, Holy Ghost filled, powerful disciples for Jesus not adherents to a manmade, man-centered program who are looking for self-fulfillment. A pastor commented to me not long ago that God isnt interested in a church full of people. He wants a people full of power. He was 100% correct. Jesus taught three essentials for the operation of the Church, not once but at least seven times in the four Gospels. From the outset of the book of Acts, the Apostles continued in these three practices exactly as Jesus had instructed them to do. These three elements of the Christians life and practice which Jesus commanded us to endeavor in are virtually ignored by Dr. Warrens teaching in the biggest selling Christian book of our day. Why is this? What kind of "New Reformation" (which Warren has called for and claims he is bringing) are millions of Christians adopting today? A better question would be - what's wrong with the original Reformation given to us by Luther, Tyndale, Hus, Coverdale and the other Reformers?
