What You Said About...
We so appreciate the many emails we've
received throughout this and each year. Though not every email can be
personally answered,
every one is read and we thank you.
Here below are a few of the dozens of emails
we've received in the past two days and some of my responses to the
writers. Of all of the issues I have written about this year, NOTHING
has evoked as many responses as did my email on December 27 "Rick Warren
Should Have Rejected Obama's Offer."
I actually did not intend to write on this.
This article began as an email response to a friend of mine who called
me glowing with such positive things to say about Warren. As I wrote I
realized that God was dealing with my heart and that others should read
what I was hearing in my spirit. Over the next 48 hours the article
developed into what we finally sent out to our list. The piece is also
posted on Christian Worldview
Network.
If you haven't read the article please do so
by
clicking here. One other note. I found it very interesting that the
very same day the
Associate Press released a story which quoted a video posted to
Warren's Saddleback Church website on Monday, December 22 in which
Warren insisted he wasn't equating gay marriage with incest or child
molestation.
"I have in no way ever taught that homosexuality is the same thing as
a forced relationship between an adult and a child, or between
siblings," Warren said. "I was trying to point out I'm not opposed to
gays having their partnership. I'm opposed to gays using the term
marriage for their relationship." - Rick Warren
One last note...Thanks for your financial
support of our ministry in 2008. Every gift and every order for DVDs,
CDs and Books in greatly appreciated. We are counting on you to give to
the ministry or to
order materials as God impresses you to. (Please see

RE: Rick Warren Should Have Rejected
Obama's Offer
Amen! Amen! Amen! Your article was excellent! I have just finished
reading the last two chapters of Daniel. Those who know their God, will
not compromise. May He strengthen us and embolden us to stand in truth
and righteousness, willing to pay the price of "the cross". We also must
"pick up" that cross if we want to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. (It
does not include compromise to this world's politics or to man's
self-centered gospel of political correctness.) It is only through the
cross of Christ, that any true Christian can ever be an overcomer. Thank
you for allowing me to share my heart.

Hello Eric, I just wanted to say that you are absolutely right in what
you have said about the Obama/Warren unholy inauguration.
I am sickened by the whole thing and it is good to hear someone give
sound intelligent and biblical reasoning to this horrible situation. I am
so deeply saddened by the thousands of "christians" who voted Obama into
office. God's heart must indeed be broken by this.
I just know that as things are going that Jesus will not be long in
coming again. So I just keep looking up, watching, listening and
waiting.
Thank you again for your words and for taking a stand for righteousness.

Thank you for putting into words what my "spirit" sensed about Rick
Warren and his association with Obama. I have been leery from the
initial onset of the association and you have confirmed what my spirit
was telling me. This generations "Billy Graham" he certainly ISN'T and
in my opinion is like comparing apples and oranges. NO - he isn't the
next Billy Graham - (maybe in his own mind) - but not to true believers
and followers of Jesus Christ.
It is nice to know that if I follow my "heart" I can be sure there are
others who share the same and when confirmed in others it must be from
the Holy Spirit.
Thanks again and keep up the good work of TRUTH! God will be glorified
even if the rocks have to cry out!

Susan Writes:
I
am not going to pick up the first stone to cast at Rick Warren
Eric Responds:
Susan,
Thanks for writing.
I could speak and write about the known cults until my final day but it
is obvious that the most heinous evil is that which claims to be
Christian yet yields destruction of the Body of Christ.
Rick Warren has done more to undermine the Church and the teaching of
the authentic gospel of Jesus Christ then any single person in this
generation. Paul, Peter, Jude and Jesus Himself were never silent when
confronting false teachers. In fact, Jesus warned us 14 separate times
about false teachers. Paul called them out by name. Peter called them
out. Paul called them wolves; Jesus named them snakes.
So many defenders of Warren are just that - defenders of Warren - but
without the understanding of Scripture on their side. Since I wrote my
piece about him and Obama's inauguration the Associated Press has
reported that in a video message last Monday Warren has even come out in
favor of gay partnerships. Does this concern you?
Have you even read some of WHY I am concerned about Rick Warren's
teaching? You owe it to yourself no matter how much of a Warren fan you
may be. If not, please see:
Examining the Purpose Driven Philosophy.
Again, thanks for writing,
Eric

You
are truly a voice in the wildness. We pray for you every day and the
walk God has purposed for you and yours. Keep up the good work. So far,
all you have written has come into my life through my older children,
who now have walked away from our God. Thank you so much for researching
things and putting it down in layman's terms. Go get'em....God bless
you,

This
powerful DVD message illustrates the desperate need for clear and decisive
biblical apologetics in the Church today. Find out why author and Christian
apologist, Eric Barger, believes that the popularity of William "Paul"
Young's emotionally charged story, The Shack,
signals an unprecedented lack of discernment from within Christianity.
Learn about
the unbiblical, unorthodox theology contained in this runaway bestseller and
soon-to-be-released motion picture and how it threatens to deceive untold
numbers of both Christians and seekers in our midst.

Universalism has become the "politically correct" religion of choice of many
in public life today. Through the misguided ministries of Carlton Pearson,
Mike Williams and others, a form of Universalism known as "Universal
Reconciliation" has made inroads into modern Christianity as well. In this
DVD presentation, Eric Barger defines and illustrates Universalism and
compares it to biblical Christianity.
Above all, this message clearly illustrates the biblical truths of salvation
through Jesus Christ alone, the absolute need for a regenerating, "born
again" experience and the fact that eternal and unending separation from God
awaits all who reject salvation through Jesus sacrificial death.
